This drain has a stainless-steel channel body (plumbing connection) that utilizes a rubber Fernco coupler to attach to the plumbing (ABS/PVS/Cast Iron). This post is to inform that Schluter Systems acknowledges a partnership with Infinity Drains. The FCS series Infinity Drains will ship with Schluter Systems KERDI waterproofing membrane pre-attached. When waterproofed following details from the Schluter Systems Shower Installation Handbook , Schluter will warranty the waterproofing, and Infinity will warranty the KERDI to drain connection. There may be scenarios where (1) our Schluter drain adapter will not properly adapt to an older and existing drain body, or (2) architects or designers may have specified a drain grate that is not compatible with our system. While we want to point all contractors and projects to our drain line up, we acknowledge that there may be scenarios out of our control and we want to support those projects as much as we can.
